As a parent, I know that helping children navigate "big feelings" is one of our most important—and challenging—jobs. When emotions feel overwhelming, children need more than just a distraction. They need tools to find their way back to calm.
I wrote my latest 10-page illustrated children's book to give families a gentle, practical way to handle anger and frustration.

The Power of a Mother’s Support
The heart of this book explores the vital role moms play in providing emotional support. It mirrors the lessons I’ve taught my own children—that it is okay to go through the feeling, and also possible to find calm and peace shortly after. Within these beautifully illustrated pages, children see how a mother’s presence can be an anchor during an emotional storm.
A Simple Technique for Every Child
The core lesson of the story is a practical breathing exercise. I teach my own children how to take slow, deep breaths—in and out—until the heavy feeling of anger begins to drift away. We've successfully used this technique in our own household, when my 14-year old autistic son is experiencing sensory overload, when my 7-year old is struggling to find the right words and getting frustrated, when they are both having a bad day, I could go on and on.
By teaching our kids how to process anger in their formative years, we are giving them the emotional intelligence they need for a lifetime.
